We believe that there are 5 important elements of the Christian faith in which God is calling us to continually engage. These include:
Reaching—We are called to reach out to others, sharing God’s promises and unconditional love. Opportunities are
provided through small and large group activities to initiate relationships with those who do not yet know Christ. These
have included:
- passing out drinks in the Oak Grove during finals
week
- hosting an occasional coffeehouse
- playing broomball
- going swing dancing
- hosting a boating/jet skiing evening
Accepting—None of us are free from sin. We accept people where they’re at, but offer support in the journey to become more like Christ. Students build friendships through activities such as:
- playing football
- going ice skating
- enjoying cookouts
- going shopping
Serving—In response to God’s generosity to us, we in turn want to help others through service projects, both on a small
and large scale. Groups have helped out in the community in
a variety of ways, including:
- sponsoring a ‘Big-for-a-Day’ luncheon
- raking leaves
- remodeling a building
Praising—There is nothing God desires more than our love and one of the best ways to express it is through worship.
Students are encouraged to explore new and creative ways
to worship God in their meetings.
